Aktuell finden die Studientage von Emergent Deutschland in Marburg statt. Ein kurzer Bericht und der Vortrag von Brian McLaren ist schon als Podcast online. Ich habe mir den Vortrag noch nicht komplett angehört und kann generell nicht allen Standpunkten von Brian zustimmen. Diese Aussage aus seinem Vortrag beschreibt jedoch für mein Empfinden die aktuelle Situation sehr gut:

„You could say that we have three worlds on earth today. You have the pre-modern world, the modern world and this emerging world. In almost every city you have these three worlds. […] Where you have pre-modern people entering the modern world, the chruch is growing rapidly. Where you have people stable in the modern world, the church is stable or declining slightly, but where you have people entering the emerging world, the church does not exist. […] We can not imagine the christian faith disengaging from the modern world view and so we keep them together. […]“
